Starting JPS Capital Advisory meant thinking carefully about more than just transactions.

While our core focus is helping property developers and investors navigate real estate debt and capital solutions, building an advisory business also requires the right infrastructure behind the scenes.

One of the seemingly simple questions was how we would execute documents with clients efficiently, securely and professionally.

That led us to AirSign.

A Simple Problem That Needed a Simple Solution

Like most advisory businesses, JPS Capital Advisory regularly deals with documents that require signatures, including engagement letters, authorities and other transaction-related documentation.

We wanted an electronic signing platform that was easy for us to manage and, equally importantly, easy for our clients to use.

We also did not want to introduce unnecessary software costs into a growing business simply because electronic signatures have become an essential part of operating professionally.

AirSign provided a straightforward solution.

The platform allows us to upload documents, add the required signing fields and send a secure link directly to the relevant parties. Once completed, the signed document and associated audit trail can be retained for our records.

For our clients, there is no software to install. Documents can be accessed and signed through a web browser across desktop and mobile devices.

Why AirSign Made Sense for JPS

There were three things that stood out to us.

01

First.

Technology should remove friction rather than create it. AirSign's signing process is straightforward for both the sender and recipient, which is particularly important when working on transactions where there can already be multiple parties, advisers and documents involved.

02

Second.

AirSign stores customer data in Australia and has built its platform specifically with Australian businesses in mind. For an Australian advisory business dealing with commercially sensitive information, that was an important consideration.

03

Third.

JPS is a growing advisory business. We want our technology stack to be institutional enough to support the work we do without paying for functionality that we simply do not need.

AirSign's pricing model reflects that philosophy. Businesses can select a plan based on the number of signing sessions and users they actually require, rather than automatically moving into an expensive enterprise software package.

That makes a difference when building a business from the ground up.

Small Efficiencies Compound

There is a broader lesson here that extends beyond electronic signatures.

When we established JPS Capital Advisory, we wanted to build the business with a lean operating model from day one.

That means asking a simple question about every piece of technology we use:

Does this make it easier for us to serve our clients?

In AirSign's case, the answer was yes.

It removes the need to print, sign, scan and circulate documents manually. It gives us an audit trail around executed documents. It allows clients to sign from wherever they are. And it does all of that without adding unnecessary complexity or cost to the business.

None of those things individually changes the way a capital transaction is structured.

But collectively, these small operational improvements allow us to spend less time on administration and more time on what clients actually engage JPS to do: understand their transaction, structure the right capital solution and engage with the right funding partners.

Supporting Australian Businesses

There is also something we appreciate about using an Australian-built platform.

JPS Capital Advisory works with developers, investors, lenders and other businesses operating throughout the Australian property market. Where there is a strong Australian technology provider that can genuinely improve the way we operate, we are happy to support it.

AirSign has been one of those providers for us.

It is simple, practical and does exactly what we need it to do.

For a growing advisory business, sometimes that is precisely what good technology should be.

Better capital decisions begin with a clear understanding of the position.
